A spokesperson from Scotiabank was not available for comment. Figueroa was also not available for comment.
Figueroa has been with Scotiabank for eight years. His latest position involved working with financial institutions around the world to offer investment banking, corporate banking and capital markets products and solutions. According to FINRAís BrokerCheck
, Figueroa is still registered with Scotia Capital.
Figueroa earned his bachelorís degree in finance from St. Johns University, and a masterís degree in business administration from New York University.
