An Industry I-Banker Leaves Scotiabank


A financial institutions-focused investment banker in the U.S. is leaving a Canadian bank.

Alex Figueroa, a director of Financial Institutions division at the Toronto, Canada-based Scotiabank, is leaving the company, MFWire has learned.

A spokesperson from Scotiabank was not available for comment. Figueroa was also not available for comment.

Figueroa has been with Scotiabank for eight years. His latest position involved working with financial institutions around the world to offer investment banking, corporate banking and capital markets products and solutions. According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, Figueroa is still registered with Scotia Capital.

Figueroa earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Johns University, and a master’s degree in business administration from New York University.
