Monument Funds Group has hired
William Kerns for the newly formed position of president of national sales.
In his new position, Kerns will be heading Monument's distribution team and oversee the fund company's marketing and sales efforts. Specifically, he will be building a team of wholesalers throughout the United States to promote the
Monument Internet Fund,
Medical Sciences Fund and the family's future endeavors, including a
telecommunications fund that is expected to be launched in October.
Previously, Kerns was senior vice president of national marketing and sales director for
Securities, Management & Research of Houston, TX. Before that he worked at
Fidelity Investment Services from 1990 to 1993, where he served as senior vice president and was a member of the Management Committee.
He will be reporting to Monument Funds president,
David A. Kugler, who said, "His expertise in building impressive sales
forces and well-known brands is exactly what the Monument Funds Group needs to carry it into the next millennium."
