left the Boston fund firm last week, Putnam spokeswoman Laura McNamara confirmed to The MFWire
. Shadek served as
head of small- and mid-cap equities, and was a co-manager of the $178 million Putnam Small Cap Value
The small- and mid-cap equities teams now report directly to chief investment officer Walter Donovan
, McNamara said.
Shadek's co-manager at the small cap value fund, Eric Harthun
, will continue to run the fund.
Shadek joined Putnam in 1997.
