Friday, November 13, 2009 Ned Says Goodbye to Putnam Putnam Investments veteran Ned Shadek left the Boston fund firm last week, Putnam spokeswoman Laura McNamara confirmed to The MFWire. Shadek served as head of small- and mid-cap equities, and was a co-manager of the $178 million Putnam Small Cap Value fund. The small- and mid-cap equities teams now report directly to chief investment officer Walter Donovan, McNamara said. Shadek's co-manager at the small cap value fund, Eric Harthun, will continue to run the fund. Shadek joined Putnam in 1997.
