The stock market plunge of 2008 and 2009 has been painful for
Calamos Asset Management, but things are looking up. The Naperville, Illinois-based asset manager
posted
net income of $2.59 million in the third quarter, compared to a loss of $799,000 in the year-ago period.
Calamos' AUM rose $3.5 billion in Q3 to $30.5 billion at the end of September. Revenues increased 10 percent from Q2, to $73.8 million.
