Investors choosing the John Hancock Lifestyle Portfolios
just gained access to three new money managers. According to a release issued Monday, the Boston-based fund family has added Dimensional Fund Advisors
, MFC Global Investment Management
and Wellington Management Company
to handle emerging markets value, small cap intrinsic value and mid cap intersection strategies, respectively.
A spokesperson for the company revealed that an internal Hancock unit, Investment Management Services, handles the selection, monitoring, hiring and firing of sub-advisors for these and other Hancock funds of funds. Senior vice president Bruce Speca
serves as head of the unit.
Hancock now boasts over $50 billion in total assets for the five target risk portfolios.
