Monday, May 14, 2007 New Subadvisors Spice Up Hancock's Lifestyle Investors choosing the John Hancock Lifestyle Portfolios just gained access to three new money managers. According to a release issued Monday, the Boston-based fund family has added Dimensional Fund Advisors, MFC Global Investment Management and Wellington Management Company to handle emerging markets value, small cap intrinsic value and mid cap intersection strategies, respectively. A spokesperson for the company revealed that an internal Hancock unit, Investment Management Services, handles the selection, monitoring, hiring and firing of sub-advisors for these and other Hancock funds of funds. Senior vice president Bruce Speca serves as head of the unit. Hancock now boasts over $50 billion in total assets for the five target risk portfolios.
