E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company established DuPont Capital Management Corporation in 1975. The firm registered as an investment advisor in 1993 and remains a wholly-owned subsidiary of DuPont. It is primarily focused on the institutional market and claimed $26.9 billion in assets under management on June 30, 2011.
