Mohawk Asset Management president James Denney founded the Electric City Value Fund in December of 1999, shortly after stepping down as mayor of Scotia, New York (a Rochester suburb). Denney founded Mohawk in 1992.
Denney marketed the Electric City Value Fund primarily to family and friends, making no significant effort to market the fund.1
Closing
On August 13, 2010, the fund's board of directors filed with the SEC to liquidate the fund. The liquidation is scheduled for August 31, 2010.
