At the beginning of 2022, Voya IM bought a small and smid cap growth shop, Tygh Capital Management and brought the whole team on board. The deal was unveiled in November 2021.
Voya Investment Management, formerly known as ING Investment Management, is the primary investment arm of publicly traded Voya Financial. Voya, then known as ING U.S., spun off from the Dutch-based multinational ING Group by IPOing in May 2013. It rebranded as Voya in May 2014.
Voya IM's tagline is "a reliable partner committed to reliable investing." The Voya IM team offers equity, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies, and they also manage proprietary insurance general account assets for their parent, Voya Financial.
