Backed by Mariner Holdings, Montage Investments is a multi-boutique with more than a dozen alternatives asset managers under its wing. Montage's sibling is Mariner Wealth Advisors.
Montage's history dates back to the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009. A family office backing a wealth management business had cash on hand and decided to invest by launching a new business instead of using traditional financial products. The family office team began making investments in boutique asset managers, and in 2010 the Montage Investments umbrella was born. The family invests in the boutiques' products alongside customers.
