Bank of America's
Columbia Management Group is further trimming its mutual fund lineup. The bank's Boston-based fund arm is seeking to merge three funds into other like funds in its complex. The mergers come on the heels of the merger of the Columbia Funds and Nations Funds families into Columbia Management.
The two fund families came under the same roof after Bank of America purchased Fleet last year.
The funds to be merged include:
Columbia Fixed Income Securities ($273.9 million) into Nations Bond Fund ($1.9 billion)
Columbia Growth & Income Fund ($1.89 billion) and Columbia Tax Managed Value Fund ($72.4 million) into Nations Value Fund ($1.76 billion)
Columbia Municipal Money Market Fund ($64.2 million), into Nations Municipal Reserves ($6.1 billion).
