Institutional manager WEDGE Capital Management picked CheckFree Investment Services' APL-MSP platform for its multiple strategy portfolio product, the firm announced on Monday.

"With APL-MSP, we can trade a particular security in a targeted style without affecting that same security in other styles… APL-MSP tool tags the specific holding at the tax-lot level, giving us the flexibility…to effect our investment decisions," said Brad Horstmann, executive vice president of WEDGE Capital Management.

WEDGE Capital Management has $4.1 billion in assets under management; 97 percent is invested for institutional clients.

APL-MSP, which is UNIX-based, was introduced in 2002.
