Kathleen Griffin joined Portland-based
IMS Capital as the director of marketing communications, the fund firm announced last Tuesday.
Greta Clapt, Wade Meadors and Lidya Wolford will share Griffin's former responsibilities at Columbia, said Charles Salmans, Columbia spokesman. The three employees are located in Portland, Oregon.
Griffin leaves
Columbia Funds after seven years as the fund firm's marketing chief, where she headed Columbia's "3,000 Miles from Wall Street" branding campaign. Prior to Columbia, Griffin worked at Kemper Financial Services as director of shareholder services.
IMS will still retain Millenium Media Consulting for their external communication, while Griffin will handle internal marketing for the firm.
"As our asset base expands, [Griffin] will be instrumental to ensuring the highest quality standards in all facets of shareholder service and corporate communications -- from overseeing our website and financial reporting activities to communicating with the media" said Carl W. Marker, IMS' founder.
