The
Investment Company Institute reported that exchange-traded fund assets stood at $161.7 billion in March, up from $159.5 billion in February with net issuance of 3.6 million shares.
A $668 million decrease in domestic equity index ETFs was trumped by increases of $2.2 billion in global/international equity ETF assets and $643 million in bond index ETF assets for an overall increase of $2.17 billion in total ETF assets.
Assets in ETFs that track international equity indexes are still a fraction of those trackign domestic equity, $20.05 billion compared to $135.57 billion.
