Russell may have been sharing some champagne recently, thanks to recognition from the teams at an investing publication and a wealth management channel-focused traded group.

Earlier this month, the Money Management Institute (
MMI) and
Barron's teams
revealed the winners of the 2023
MMI/Barron's Industry Awards. They unveiled and honored the winners at the 2023
MMI Annual Conference in Austin, Texas. The awards are now in their 15th year.
In the mutual fund space, Russell Investments won "asset manager of the year" in the $25 billion to $100 billion AUM category for its "How do you want your Russell Investments?" firmwide sales and service approach. And Invesco won asset manager of the year in the more than $100 billion AUM category for its
Portfolio Playbook for giving advisors an overview of the markets and the economy and how that should affect portfolios. Other asset manager winners include
55ip (a "digital innovation" award) and
Bluerock Fund Advisors, LLC ("asset manager of the year" with AUM under $25 billion).
"The awards spotlight the leadership shown in moving the needle forward in the wealth management environment," states
Craig Pfeiffer, president and CEO of MMI.
The awards cover 14 categories in the investment advisory solutions industry.
