The folks at
BondBloxx and
DFA both have some ETF-style celebrating to do with their teams this week.
Those firms were two of the 11 winning fund firms this week at
ETF.com's ninth annual
ETF.com Awards event. The event, which was held on Tuesday at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City, was the
first in-person version of the awards show since things went virtual for the pandemic in 2020. (They also skipped 2022, so the last ETF.com Awards event was a
2021 event that was
virtually hosted from LA.)
DFA and BondBloxx led the winners pack this year with two awards each. BondBloxx won "Best New International/Global Fixed Income ETF" for the
BondBloxx JP Morgan USD Emerging Markets 1-10 Year Bond ETF (XEMD) and won "New ETF Issuer of the Year". DFA won "Best New Active ETF" for the
Dimensional US Small Cap Value ETF (DFSV) and won "ETF Issuer of the Year".
Other ETF shops that won this week include:
BlackRock,
BNY Mellon,
Capital Group,
Engine No. 1,
F/m,
Invesco,
J.P. Morgan,
Roundhill, and
Schwab.
S&P Dow Jones Indices also won an award, and
Joanne Hill, chief advisor for research and strategy at
Cboe Vest, won the 2023 "Lifetime Achievement Award."
