Last month,
Dan Kessler, president of Exton, Pennsylvania-based
Energage (which puts out the
Top Workplaces Awards), and
Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage,
revealed their 2022
Top Workplaces National Industry Awards winners. The awards cover six broad segments of the economy, including
financial services.
Boston-based
Fidelity Investments and
Sun Life Financial (parent of
MFS)
both landed in the financial services winners list among firms with more than 2,500 U.S. employees each. (Fidelity has 40,000, while Sun Life has 3,720.)
Minneapolis-based
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (parent of Allianz Investment Management) and Chicago-based
William Blair both landed in the financial services winners list among firms with between 1,000 and 2,499 U.S. employees each. (Allianz has 2,400, while
William Blair has 1,421.)
And Chicago-based
Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. landed in the financial services winners list among firms with between 150 and 499 U.S. employees each. (Harbor has 219.)
The awards are based on Enerage's anonymous employee-engagement survey. (According to the Energage team, more than 27 million employees from more than 70,000 employers have completed the survey.) Kessler offers insight into what the awards are designed to recognize.
"Top Workplaces believe in the power of people-first cultures and have quantifiably higher levels of employee engagement than the average organization," Kessler states. "They focus on building and maintaining an environment where employees feel engaged, appreciated, and fulfilled."
"In addition to celebrating employer recognition, the Top Workplaces program allows companies to see opportunities and areas to focus on," Rubino states. "The employee feedback captured by the engagement survey makes it possible to move forward on a continuum of improvement."
