A $147.67-billion-AUM (as of December 31, 2020), multinational asset manager recently welcomed a key, ex-DC I-O hire in New York City.

Jared Henry Buell Vontobel Asset Management Relationship Manager, U.S.

Last week, Jeff Klepacki, head of intermediary distribution in North America for Vontobel Asset Management, confirmed the fresh appointment of Jared Buell as relationship manager in the U.S. Buell is charged with boosting Vontobel's strategic distribution partnerships. (The Swiss asset manager has been a mutual fund subadvisor on this side of the pond.)

Buell most recently served as head of intermediary distribution at Stone Harbor Investment Partners [profile].

"As we look forward to expanding our investment offerings to clients in the US, Jared's investment-led skillset across asset classes will be instrumental in deepening our distribution relationships and meeting our clients' investment goals," Klepacki states.

Prior to joining Stone Harbor in 2016, Buell led DC I-O and subadvisory for RS Investments, where he worked for eight years. Earlier, he worked at Phoenix Life Insurance Company and MassMutual. He is an alumnus of the College of the Holy Cross.
