A fundster trade group has grown to more than 500 volunteers and 35 committees.

Jim Fitzpatrick, president and CEO of Nicsa, shared that tidbit and more this morning in his welcome remarks at the online 2021 Nicsa GMM. The three-day, virtual event will include 27 different speakers, plus a followup fourth day in two weeks in the form of Nicsa's Digital Innovation Summit on October 19.

Scott Brady, Nicsa chairman and head of product development and strategy at Columbia Threadneedle, also welcome GMM attendees. He highlighted the trade group's digital engagement, noting that Nicsa's LinkedIn channel now has more than 4,000 followers.

Looking ahead to next year, Fitzpatrick hinted at an upcoming conference: Nicsa's second annual, DE&I-focused Fearless Leadership Summit. He hopes to host that conference in-person in New York City in 2022 and confirmed that it will be an annual event.
