Bank Of New York has joined the ranks of fund companies being asked to provide regulators with information about trading practices at the firm.
Bank of New York made the disclosure in its quarterly report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The bank said it is ``broadly involved'' with the mutual fund industry, and that ``various governmental and self-regulatory agencies have sought information from it in connection with investigations relating to that industry.''
