Asset management industry insiders mourned a number of industry veterans who died in 2019. Here's a reminder of those the industry lost this year:

Jud Bergman, founder of Envestnet;

Jack Bogle, founder of Vanguard and father of the index mutual fund business;

Charlie Brady, founder of Invesco;

Patrick Flynn, managing director and co-head of non-investment grade credit at Neuberger Berman;

Bob Glenn, associate director and mutual fund product specialist at UBS Wealth Management;

Rob Moll, director of business operations at Eventide Asset Management;

John Neff, former executive vice president of Wellington Management and former PM of the Vanguard Windsor Fund; and

George Putnam, former chairman of both the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and of Putnam Investments.
