This morning
Invesco president and CEO
Marty Flanagan confirmed that the publicly traded asset manager has closed on its $1.2-billion purchase of
Guggenheim's $38.3-billion-AUM ETF business. The deal, officially
unveiled last September,
solidifies Invesco's spot as the fourth biggest ETF provider in the U.S. The deal also comes as Flanagan is
streamlining Invesco's various brands, including the
PowerShares ETF brand, by consolidating everything under the Invesco brand itself.
