Putnam Investments, MFS, Natixis, Eaton Vance, Wellington, and
Brown Brothers Harriman each had their own hockey teams filled with industry players who participated in the third annual Finance Bean Pot Tournament in Boston, MA to raise money for the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund.
This year, the firms collectively raised $54,000 for the fund "which honors Massachusetts soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan, by providing educational grants to their children," according to Jon Goldstein, head of corporate communications at Putnam.
"Boston financial services are small, but it has a big heart,"
John Nickodemus, national sales manager at Putnam and general manager of the Putnam hockey team, tells
MFWire.
Last week Putnam Investments won the three-round tournament with a final score of eight to five against MFS, on March 2.
