A pair of mutual fund lawyers in Chicago just joined
Ropes & Gray.
Bryan Chegwidden, co-chair of Ropes' investment management practice, confirms today the addition of
Paul Dykstra and
Paulita Pike, both as partners. The law firm's Chicago office now includes "more than 60 legal professionals," including 15 partners.
Dykstra and
Pike both teach mutual fund regulation as adjunct professors at Northwestern's law school, and they both most recently worked at the same law firm:
K&L Gates. Dykstra was a partner, and Pike was a practice area leader for financial services.
A spokesman for K&L Gates declined to comment for this story, citing company policy.
An alumnus of Yale and Princeton, Dykstra previously chaired the investment management practice at Gardner, Carton & Douglas, which
merged with Drinker Biddle & Reath in 2006. He works with mutual funds and their boards, and has more than 40 years of experience.
An alumnus of Notre Dame, Pike works with investment advisors and mutual fund service providers, as well as funds and their boards.
