A top
Lord Abbett [
profile] sales executive is on the rise.
Daria Foster, managing partner at the Jersey City, New Jersey-based mutual fund shop, recently
revealed that on October 1
Bradley Eckstein, senior regional manager, became one of Lord Abbett's five new partners. Spokesman Jim Sansavero confirms that Lord Abbett now has 61 partners in total.
Eckstein, Sansavero says, reports to
Jarrod Shosky, the partner in charge of Lord Abbett's advisor services group (i.e. its retail distribution efforts). Eckstein joined Lord Abbett nine years ago, and the firm says that he's been the top bank and independent channel salesperson.
"October 1 is the beginning of the new fiscal year for the firm," Sansavero tells
MFWire. "If there are going to be new partners, they're usually as of the first day of the fiscal year."
Four other Lord Abbett executives also made partner on October:
Vito Fronda, director of taxation, who joined in 2003;
Andrew Khatri, director of trading, who joined in 2011;
Gregory Parker, director of credit research, who joined in 2007; and
Marc Pavese, research analyst, who joined in 2008.
The appointments follow the
departure a month ago of two Lord Abbett partners, retail marketing director Mike Weldon and client portfolio manager Cinda Hughes.
Lord Abbett boasted assets under management of $138 billion as of September 30.
