Never mind being late, an "800-pound gorilla gets to sit 'anywhere it wants,'" writes MarketWatch columnist Chuck Jaffe about Fido's entry into sector ETFs.

Fido's scale will give the Behemoth a price advantage. Also, the very fact that it has entered late into the ETF market means that it is not dependent on revenues from this niche, meaning it can cost cut and hurt firms that already well-ensconced, and hence reliant, on these flows.
