Chris Krantz and
Jeff Bourke to serves as PMs to the firm’s
U.S. Large Cap Quality Growth (Select) Fund and its
U.S. Large Cap Premier Growth (Ultra and VP Ultra) Fund.
Krantz who joined American Century in 2006 as a senior investment analyst prior to the promotion, will maintain his analytic duties. Bourke joined the company as a senior investment analyst in 2007; he too will carry on with analytic responsibilities. Both executives had their new positions made effective on August 1.

AMERICAN CENTURY INVESTMENTS PROMOTES KRANTZ, BOURKE TO PORTFOLIO MANAGER POSITIONS
KANSAS CITY, Mo., August 2, 2013 — American Century Investments has promoted two senior investment analysts to portfolio manager positions on the team managing the firm’s U.S. Large Cap Quality Growth (Select) and U.S. Large Cap Premier Growth (Ultra and VP Ultra) strategies. Both promotions were effective August 1, 2013.
Chris Krantz, CFA, senior investment analyst, is promoted to portfolio manager on U.S. Large Cap Quality Growth. Along with his portfolio manager duties, he maintains his analytical responsibilities covering the consumer discretionary, consumer staples and utilities sectors on both the U.S. Large Cap Quality and U.S. Large Cap Premier Growth strategies. Krantz joined American Century Investments in 2006. He previously worked as a manager at Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
Jeff Bourke, CFA, senior investment analyst, is promoted to portfolio manager on U.S. Large Cap Premier Growth. Along with his portfolio manager duties, he maintains his analytical responsibilities covering the industrials and materials sectors on both the U.S. Large Cap Quality and U.S. Large Cap Premier Growth strategies. Bourke joined American Century Investments in 2007 from Robert W. Baird & Co., where he was as an industrials analyst. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
