U.S. Bancorp Asset Management has tapped
Wendy Schoppert to take over the marketing and product duties formerly handled by
Peter Torvik, who recently left the firm. Schoppert joined the firm last May when it created a new department to handle the marketing for its First American Funds. She reports to
Tom Schreier, chief executive officer.
In her new role, Schoppert will also oversee efforts to market the bank's college savings program (Facts 529 and the Oregon College Savings Plan) and its alternative investment products, according to industry sources.
She also has joined the firm's Operating Committee.
