Merrill Lynch has tapped
Brian Murdock as the new chief operating officer for the Americas at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Murdock replaces
Mary Taylor (she retires in February) and will work out of Princeton, New Jersey.
He moves from Merrill's Europe Middle East Africa Pacific unit where he was chief investment officer and global head of fixed income and alternative investments.
Brian Fullerton will take over the latter post and remain CIO for MLIM Americas.
Separately,
Jim Davey, formerly head of Merrill's ML Connect business has joined Hartford Life to head that firm's retirement services group. ML Connect handles third-party plans sold by Merrill Lynch consultants. A spokesperson for Merrill Lynch was not available for comment on Davey's replacement.
