Morningstar has named its 2011 U.S. Fund Managers of the Year awards winners. The PMs busy spending the afternoon updating their resumes and LinkedIn pages come from
Artisan Partners,
Fidelity and
Tweedy Browne.
Those winners were:
Domestic-Stock Fund Manager of the Year:
Scott Satterwhite, James Kieffer, and George Sertl, Artisan Mid Cap Value (ARTQX), Artisan Small CapValue (ARTVX), and
Artisan Value (ARTLX). The win comes a week after Artisan Partners withdrew its IPO filing.
International-Stock Fund Manager of the Year:
William Browne, John Spears, Tom Shrager, and Bob Wyckoff, Tweedy, Browne Global Value (TBGVX)
Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year:
John Carlson, Fidelity New Markets Income (FNMIX)
