Abby Johnson is a woman to watch. Or so
posits the
Boston Business Journal. Abby, the potential matriarch at Fidelity and daughter of chairman Ned Johnson, is one of 12 Boston area executives to make the paper's "12 people to watch in 2012" list.
Johnson is chairwoman, mutual fund division, Fidelity Investments and chairwoman, Fidelity Management & Research Co.
Speculation is that she is poised to succeed her father when he steps away from the fund giant.
Abby is not the only fund family scion to make a paper's list. Franklin Resources' Charles Johnson receives similar attention from the
San Jose Mercury News.
Admittedly, the West Coast Johnson is noted for his role as owner of San Francisco's MLB franchise and not his job in the mutual fund industry.
