Strategic Insight's parent may soon extend its reach in the
mutual fund world.
Jason Cassidy, senior vice president of
strategy and development at
Asset International (Strategic
Insight's parent), confirmed that the New York-based firm is looking
at another mutual fund research firm, Boston-based Financial Research
Corporation (
FRC).
"We're in conversations with FRC about buying select assets from
them," Cassidy told
MFWire.com, declining to comment further.
MFWire.com could not reach FRC chairman
Bob Hedges or
president
Bob Jenkins for comment on the deal talks. Strategic Insight's
Avi Nachmany declined to comment.
