A senior vice president of marketing is leaving TIAA-CREF, and it appears that she's not staying specifically in the retirement plan space. Today Lincoln Financial Group revealed that TIAA's Jamie DePeau is joining the Radnor, Pennsylvania-based insurer as corporate chief marketing officer.

A TIAA-CREF spokeswoman was not immediately able to comment on how DePeau's duties are being handled.

While Lincoln does have a retirement plan unit working with 401(k)s and 403(b)s, it appears that DePeau's duties will not be specific to that unit but instead at the overall corporate level. The insurer also offers annuities, dental insurance, disability insurance, financial planning and advisory services, group life insurance and life insurance.

Prior to joining TIAA-CREF in January 2004, DePeau worked in communications and marketing at Medco, MCI, NYNEX, Barrister Information Systems Corporation and Krehbiel Associates.
