Bridgeway Adds Liu to its Investment Team

Kai Liu has joined Bridgeway Capital Management's investment team. Liu will conduct statistical research to develop future investment models for the Houston, Texas-based fund firm.

Liu's appointment brings the number of investment staff a Bridgeway to nine, according to a company spokesperson.

Previously, Liu was director of quantitative research at Chicago Equity Partners. He earlier worked at Citadel Investment Group and Reuters Group PLC.
Bridgeway Capital Management Names Kai Liu Investment Team Member

Houston, TX, August 31, 2011 -- Bridgeway Capital Management Inc. today announced that Kai Liu has joined the firm as an investment team member. Mr. Liu, most recently with Chicago Equity Partners, LLC, will be responsible for conducting statistical research to develop future investment models.

Prior to joining Bridgeway, Mr. Liu served as Director, Quantitative Research at Chicago Equity Partners, LLC. In this role, he was responsible for the development and back testing of portfolio construction strategies for all equity products including long-only, 130/30 and market neutral. In his prior role with Citadel Investment Group, LLC, Mr. Liu served as Associate, Credit Front Office, where he was responsible for designing and implementing a security valuation library for credit derivatives as well as performing model back testing and calibration for quantitative research. Mr. Liu started his career as a programmer analyst with Reuters Group PLC in Oakbrook, Illinois.

Mr. Liu holds an M.S. in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
