AQR Capital Management LLC [see profile] today is officially unveiling its AQR Multi-Strategy Fund, a multi-strategy absolute return offering. The firm in May disclosed plans in to launch the vehicle.

The fund has exposure to convertible-arbitrage, fixed-income relative value, event-driven, dedicated short bias, equity market neutral, long-short equity, emerging-markets, global macro and managed futures.

In an interview with InvestmentNews, David Kabiller, founding principal and head of client strategies, said: "With this fund we're getting back to the roots of what absolute return is supposed to do."
