Want to buy a bayfront property from
Bill Gross? The
Pimco [see profile] co-founder and co-CIO has put his 18,150-square-foot property on Newport Beach's tony Harbor Island up for sale. The asking price is $26.5 million,
reports the
Orange County Business Journal.

The item was later picked by
CNBC and
BusinessInsider.
Gross acquired the property two years ago for $23 million, which was $3 million
less than the original listing price of $26 million. Gross purchased the property from
the estate of Elizabeth Colyear Vincent, a philanthropist and art collector who passed
away in 2009, according to the report.
"Gross leveled the home and had planned to build a newer one on the site.
Since then, the property has remained vacant, a giant hole along the waterfront that has had people musing on what he might build,"
The Orange County Business Journal's Sherri Cruz wrote.
According to the pub, the primary abode of Gross and his wife Sue is located in Laguna Beach's Irvine Cove neighborhood.
