The bigwigs at
OppenheimerFunds are reportedly mulling over the idea of turning an existing mutual fund into an active ETF.
"We have spent a lot of time discussing the actively managed ETF space,"
InvestmentNews quotes OppenheimerFunds CEO
Bill Glavin as saying at the
MMI Fall Solutions Conference at the Marriott Marquis in New York last Friday.
The path OppFunds is contemplating is already being pursued by
Huntington Asset Advisors, who, as
InvestmentNews notes, filed papers with the SEC
this summer to transform existing mutual funds into active ETFs.
