FUND OPENINGS:

Jefferies Asset Management is launching the Commodity Strategy Allocation Fund that will offer inflation hedgeing through commodity and Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities ("TIPS") investments [SEC filing]. The fund is Jefferies first open-end product. The fund is a series of the Financial Investors Trust advised by ALPS Advisors Inc. Robert B. Hyman is the portfolio manager.

Virtus Investment Partners has opened its Premium AlphaSector Fund. F-Squared Investments, Inc. subadvises the quantitative investment fund. The fund is the third in Virtus' AlphaSector series. It portfolio is reallocated weekly from the nine Select Sector SPDR exchange-traded funds plus a short-term Treasury ETF.
