The $2.4 billion Perkins Small Cap Value Fund will close to new investors effective May 28, according to an SEC filing.

The fund shuttered its doors to new investors in February 2000 and reopened in March of last year.

Chicago-based Perkins Investment Management is 80 percent owned by Janus Capital Group.
