Principal Funds hired Bill Glover as regional director covering Northern New Jersey. Glover joined Principal in July and reports to assistant vice president Paul Schieber, said company spokeswoman Jaime Naig.

Glover's post is new, Naig said.

Principal currently has a total of 50 regional directors.

Prior to joining Principal, Glover worked as a wholesaler at Forward Management. A Forward spokesperson was not immediately able to comment on how Glover's duties are being handled.

Earlier, Glover held stints at Managers Investment Group and UBS.
