In the next few weeks, Washington State will be issuing an RFP for its 529 plan, Joe Hurley, ceo of Savingforcollege.com, told the MutualFundWire.com.

"From what I know, this will be for a new savings program. They already have a pre-paid program," Hurley stated.

Hurley did not know exactly when the RFP would be issued but expects it in the next few weeks.
