Ignites is turning to former
Money Management Executive staffers to fill two openings. According to the
Ignites Web site, the New York City-based publication recently hired
Hannah Glover and
Kevin Burke.
Glover will cover the operations and technology beat. She was previously an associate editor at
Money Management Executive newsletter.
Burke will be a senior reporter covering the sales and marketing beat. Most recently he was a senior editor at
Registered Rep magazine; he has also written for
Money Management Executive.
In the last few months, three reporters have left Ignites, including Tom Leswing, who has joined Neuberger Berman. He was replaced at Ignites by Peter Ortiz (see
Media Watch: The Family Wealth Report Gets New Publisher," August 13, 2007). Bonnie Baumann and Lisa Lacy have also left Ignites.
Meanwhile, Conde Nast's Portfolio magazine, which recently put out its second issue, has lost two members of its editorial staff.
The New York Observer reports that Kurt Eichenwald has resigned from his position of senior writer and investigative reporter and
Jeffery Chu has resigned as senior associate editor.
Chu has been picked up by Morningstar maverick Joe Mansueto's pub, Fast Company, as a senior editor. He starts September 4. It is not known where Eichenwald will land.
