Fidelity COO
Robert Reynolds may have missed out on the NFL Commissioner job opening, but he will be getting an up close look at professional-level sports. Instead of hitting the line of scrimmage, he will be hitting the slopes. Reynolds has accepted a board seat with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, fund raising arm of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Teams, Trisha Worthington, the Foundation's vice president said Monday.
Worthington pointed to Reynold's business experience and his ability to increase the group's exposure in Boston. She also noted that Reynolds is an avid skier who can sometimes be found on the slopes in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Reynolds is vice chairman and chief operating officer of Fidelity Investments, head of the Fidelity Management Committee and a member of the board of directors of FMR Corp. He also serves as a trustee for the Fidelity family of mutual funds and is on the board of Fidelity Investments Canada Limited.
He also holds board seats on the Foundation Board for West Virginia University (his alma mater), the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, the Concord Museum and the American Ireland Fund.
