Kansas City-based UMB Asset Management has tapped Patrick Dunkerley as a portfolio manager for its mid-cap equity strategies. Dunkerley joins the firm as a senior vice president and will lead UMB Asset Management in the launch of a new mid-cap strategy for institutional investors.
He will report to Bill Greiner, chief investment officer of UMB Asset Management. Greiner described Dunkerley as "a highly seasoned, proven mid-cap fund manager" who "will be a valuable addition at the helm of our mid-cap investment strategy."
Dunkerley joins the bank from KeyCorp's Victory Capital Management where he was chief investment officer and managing director. He was also the portfolio manager for the Victory Special Value Fund. The $357 million fund is now being managed by Leslie Globits, who has been the comanager of the fund since 2003.
