After this week, Lipper Inc. will be without one of its top U.S. analysts.

The fund research and information subsidiary of Reuters said Wednesday that senior research analyst Don Cassidy will retire as of July 8. He plans to spend time working on an educational foundation he has founded, called the Retirement Investing Institute, reported MarketWatch.

His colleagues Tom Roseen and Jeff Tjornehoj will take over Cassidy's media duties.
