A Cleveland-based subsidiary of
KeyCorp has hired a five-member international investment team straight from one of
Franklin Templeton's affiliates.
KeyCorp's
Victory Capital Management, a registered investment advisory firm and manager of the Victory Funds, has hired the professionals from
Fiduciary Global Advisors, an asset management company of Franklin Templeton. VCM spokesperson Ron Petrie confirmed that
Margaret Lindsay heads the team in her new position as chief investment officer for international equity strategies. He declined to name the four other hires, but said VCM created the post for Lindsay.
At Fiduciary Global Advisors, Lindsay most recently served as senior vice president of the firm's
International Smaller Cap Equities Fund.
VCM had $58 billion in AUM as of last March 31.
Said CEO
Robert Wagner in a statement, "We have a strong lineup of domestic equity, fixed income, money market and alternative strategies, and this seasoned, experienced group gives us a new international investment platform." He added that the new team represents a "major step" in the company's strategic plan to add investment strategies.
