As part of a slew of new management appointments and a governing structure overhaul, Sarah Russell was named head of ABN Amro Asset Management.

Russell was previously managing director and chief financial officer of the bank's Wholesale Clients (WCS) unit. She joined the bank in 1994.

Russell replaces Huibert Boumeester, who will head group risk management, mergers & acquisitions and corporate development at ABN Amro.
