Peter Higgins has left Dreyfus-affiliate The Boston Company to join Wellington Asset Management, according to Morningstar.

Higgins managed the Dreyfus Small Company Value fund ($183 million in AUM) and the Dreyfus Midcap Value fund ($1.4 billion in AUM).

Higgin's co-portfolio manager David Dagio will take over management of the two Dreyfus funds.
